Are facebook users old fogeys? maybe..

I was looking into the numders and ages of tiktok and instagram users. half are between the ages of 12 and 24

Facebook are saying it is not just for old people. but are you an old fogey posting photos of your grandchildren?

I think these old people have better taste and class then the new generation. but if you want to predict the future you will pay attention to the younger genration.

there will be many advances but also problems in future artificial intelligence...

its has been reported the average teen ages 13 to 18 spends about nine hours on social media each day,,,  ages 8 to 12 are on for about six hours a day.

Tiktok, snapchat, instagram are out doing facebook and twitter.. social media can be a negative effect on teens, distracting them, disrupting their sleep, and exposing them to bullying, rumor spreading, unrealistic views of other people's lives and peer pressure. The risks might be related to how much social media teens use.

But for old fogeys it is a chance to take a break, feel connected, and defeat loneliness. also it is healthy for the mind and wards off Alzheimer's disease.

I have made a lot of new young facebook friends ,, just because Instagram, tiktoc, and others are doing well don't mean there's no younger generation on Facebook, but yes many old folks get used to it lol 🧓

I play two facebook games that helps with memory and I don't like tic toc. A lot of people are watching it. Facebook makes me feel like I'm in a hurry scrolling down my page. I also don't like that the like buttons and short "that's right"! Or "that's pretty"~ Some of it is good, but it just seems so "unsocial" to me, not real communication like we have, or can have if the ning communities were involved like we use to be. When I'm on the ning sites I feel the "quiet" and I can think and look how long of a reply this is compared to facebook and tic toc is worse. It's like the "short" videos on youtube. These young people are taking in a lot of pieces of information in a record amount of time. Ten videos in ten minutes and they can stay on waaaay longer than that. It seems to me that it would just confuse the mind, taking in bits and tiny "fast" information. I don't like it. I do wish that the ning sites had a like button under the information and pictures we add to some of our articles and comments though. It's like a drive through place to eat. Fast, give it to me super fast. lol.

That's a good discription,,the fast food drive through .. I like some of the Facebook buttons, at least there are groups that you could create yourself. I like things that activate the imagination and are creative ..but the direction things are going in is smaller, faster and more stupid .. YouTube I like because there's a ton of various information, like instructional videos. Very helpful.
